On the evening of May 19 in Mariupol, several shells “flew” into the barracks of the Russian occupiers, located near the airport, and a strong fire started.
A few hours before the explosions, helicopters of the Russian army “flew” into the area of the airport in Mariupol from Berdyansk.
Journalist Andriy Tsaplienko reported about the relocation of the invaders' aviation.
Advisor to the Mayor of Mariupol Petro Andryushchenko specified that the place of hits had indeed been established. The results of the successful operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be announced in the morning on May 20.
“Preliminarily, it was the base of 150 invaders, which was systematically used to install air defense systems. Ruscists lie about the place deliberately in order to prevent adjustments and finishing off,” Andryushchenko wrote, adding that such an attempt to hide information will not help.
There are people left in the city who will pass on important information, no matter how the invaders try to hide it. Andryushchenko also addressed the residents of the city with a warning that the Russian army had located its barracks too close to residential buildings.
“At night, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck four on the territory near the Mariupol airport. In just a few hours, military helicopters were moved to it. In addition, one or more missiles arrived at the location of the personnel near the airport.
In fact, the offensive itself (of the AFU — edit.) has already begun, only so far it’s the initial phase, not very spectacular and productive, but solving many of the tasks of the next stage.
This is, of course, a costly strategy that requires a rather significant expenditure of forces and ammunition, but thanks to the help of the Rammstein coalition, quite a lot has been accumulated, and the accuracy of strikes replaces their mass character,” said Anatoly Nesmiyan (El Murid), a Russian military expert.
