Prigozhin Is Taking Wagnerites Out Of Bakhmut

The leader of the Wagner Froup said that the mercenaries would leave the city before June 1.

On Thursday, May 25, the leader of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, announced that the withdrawal of his mercenaries from the city of Bakhmut of the Donetsk region had begun. According to him, the troops will leave the city for the rear areas before June 1, according to Glavred.

Russian regular troops will replace the Wagnerites in the positions. Prigozhin said that they would be left with the remnants of ammunition and C-rations. The Putin's Chief statement was published by his press service.

“We are withdrawing units from Bakhmut. The main part will be relocated to the rear camps by June 1. We transfer positions with ammunition and everything, including C-rations to the army. However, if it will be difficult for the army, of course, we will leave those who had the main role in the capture of Bakhmut,” Prigozhin said.

He showed two Wagnerites who allegedly had a major role in the occupation of the city.

“This is Bieber and Dolik. As soon as it is difficult for the army, they will stand and block the Ukrainian army,” Prigozhin said and asked them “not to offend the military”.
