The ship is not at its usual bases.
The whereabouts of the Russian intelligence ship Ivan Khurs, which was damaged in an attack by Ukrainian naval drones, are currently unknown. The vessel is absent from its usual deployment points - it is neither in Sevastopol nor in Novorossiysk, writes the anonymous Mykolaiv Vanek Telegram channel.
The authors of the Telegram channel wonder why the Russian Defence Ministry cannot record at least a five-second video of the said ship, if Moscow claims that the vessel is "all right".
The sources of Ukrayinska Pravda in military circles confirm that the Ivan Khurs was damaged as a result of an attack by Ukrainian naval drones.
According to them, the vessel did not sink, but it sustained significant damage. The Russians are currently hastily trying to repair the ship.
It should be noted that on May 25, a video was posted on the Internet showing a marine drone approaching the Russian ship closely, after which the footage cuts out.
Twitter account GeoConfirmed confirms that it is the Ivan Khurs ship on the recording, drawing attention to the details that coincide in the video and old pictures.
The Ukraine Weapons Tracker Twitter account, on the other hand, reports that the drone was able to reach the ship, but analysts cannot determine from the available video the extent of damage the ship sustained.
#Ukraine: Yesterday, 🇷🇺MoD claimed to foil a Ukrainian attempt to attack the "Ivan Khurs" intelligence ship in the Black Sea with 3x kamikaze uncrewed surface vessels, showing one destroyed by fire from the ship.
