If rumors about Lukashenka's bad (critical) state continue to spread, then both the ruler himself and his entourage can benefit from the experience of ex-president of Zimbabwe Robert Mugabe.

In the early 2010s, rumors about Mugabe's critical condition and death appeared almost every week. At some point, the president himself confirmed them, but at the same time announced his resurrection from the dead. Mugabe's wife Grace, who, like Natallia Kachanava in Belarus, was predicted to be the successor, even stated that opponents of the regime should not worry: the Zimbabweans love their president so much that they will re-elect him even dead.
