The Air Defence Forces successfully cover the sky over Ukraine.
The air battle with the participation of Ukrainian air defence forces will last until the occupiers run out of real ability to launch missiles. Defense Express expert Ivan Kirichevsky reminded Espresso that leaked Pentagon documents pointed to the depletion of Soviet-style missiles in Ukraine. This allegedly weakened Ukraine's air defence.
“Either these data about the shortage of Soviet missiles were exaggerated, or they received certain Western munitions for Western air defence systems that we do not know about. If the situation were catastrophic, our air defence forces would not be able to withstand this “gold standard” of shooting down up to 85% of subsonic cruise missiles, due to a lack of weapons and equipment,” he explained.
According to the expert, at the moment they are able to do it. In his opinion, the proof strength of the Ukrainian Air Defence, despite all the known and unknown problems, is much higher than the proof strength of the Russian missile arsenal.
“This air battle will continue until the Russians run out of real ability to launch missiles of one type or another. On the other hand, the Rammstein format is a lot more about how to get, in particular, Soviet anti-aircraft missiles from various sources. If we already find missiles from Jordan for the Osa air defence systems, then who knows where else there can be such interesting hidden places, which is still unknown in the public domain,” Kirichevsky summed up.
