It was reported by Aleksei Moskalev's lawyer.
The father of the girl with the anti-war placard, Aleksei Moskalev, is in the remand prison-1 in Smolensk region of Russia. He has already met with lawyer Vladimir Bilienko, to whom the man told about his detention, beating by the Belarusian security forces and extradition to Russia, reports OVD-Info.
On May 3, Bilienko met with Moskalev in the pre-trial detention center. Aleksei said that he was detained in the town of Smaliavichy by eight Belarusian law enforcers on March 30. During the detention he was severely beaten with hands and feet on his chest and back, a muscle in his right leg was severely damaged, and he received several blows to the head, and his head was also beaten up against the wall.
The man specified that he had not made any phone calls before his arrest, stressing that he did not have his phone with him at all - media had previously reported that law enforcers were able to trace the man because his phone was on.
After that, they handcuffed Moskalev very tightly, and took him to the temporary detention facility. The man added that because of the handcuffs the innervation of his hands has not yet recovered: he cannot feel his thumbs. According to Aleksei, he spent two or three days in the TDF, then he was transferred to the prison, where he was kept for about a week.
He was taken to Russia by people in civilian clothes in a car without any departmental markings. In the country, he was first taken to the Smolensk temporary detention facility, where he stayed for two days, and then to the pre-trial detention facility.
