Fighting Underway On Russia-Ukraine Border

A tank breakthrough has been reported in Shebekino in Belgorod Region.

A battle is underway on the border between Russia and Ukraine, The Moscow Times reports.

According to preliminary reports, "saboteurs" attacked the "Shebekino" checkpoint with tanks.

Eyewitnesses report that the road towards Shebekino is blocked near Maslovaya Pristan. Residents of Shebekino are hiding in basements.

A Russian police building in the town is on fire.

It is known that a series of powerful explosions were heard in Belgorod and Shebekino overnight.

"A series of explosions were heard in Belgorod during the night, and a video was published by local public pages, with reports online of air defences working and targets being shot down," RBC reported.

The governor of Russia's Belgorod Region said that artillery shell fragments had damaged one car and a section of the roadway in Shebekino. Some power lines have been hit by shrapnel.

In addition, in the village of Grafovka, Krasnyi Yar district, shell splinters cut the facade and broke the glass in the administrative building of the RF authorities.
