Lukashenka said that "the Ukraine issue should have been resolved in 2014-2015". The dictator expressed regret that Kyiv now has an army that can defend the country:

"The only mistake, probably, is that we did not resolve the issue in 2014-2015, when Ukraine had no army, no readiness... Everyone wanted a peaceful resolution. And they were building a combat-ready armed force in the meantime".
