Russia Illegally Dismantles Ukrainian Navy Ships Seized In 2014

Russia has started illegally dismantling Ukrainian naval vessels seized in Sevastopol and Donuzlau, which were located on the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea after 2014. This was reported on social media.

Six captured Ukrainian naval vessels are located at the disposal facility in Inkerman. There one can see the missile boat 'Prydniprovye' of Project 12411T, the artillery boat 'Kherson', the sea sweeper 'Chernihiv' of Project 266M, the sea sweeper 'Cherkassy' of Project 266M.

Also the Ukrainian Navy's oil recovery vessel U 954 is moored to the left of the floating crane in the photo. A total of 19 former ships, boats and vessels of the Ukrainian Navy remained in Crimea at the beginning of 2022, the further fate of another 11 units is unknown.

It is known that the Russian Black Sea Fleet is now using the large landing ship 'Konstantin Olshansky' of the 775 project and the tugboat 'Kremenets' of the 714 project, which were seized from the Ukrainian military in 2014.
