General Syrsky Creates ‘Cauldron’ In Bakhmut

The Russians had only one way to escape.

The Ukrainian troops in Bakhmut are faced with the task of reaching the maximum heights in front of the Bakhmutka River. In fact, this will close the operational encirclement of Bakhmut.

This is the trap into which Yevgeny Prigozhin led the Russian army. “He dragged them there, threw them and disappeared,” military expert Roman Svitan, instructor pilot and reserve colonel told Channel 24.

“General Oleksandr Syrsky is making this cauldron and leading combat missions there. From a military point of view, this is a logical and justified development of events, when troops leave a potential boiler, no one will leave them there. And this is only the first stage of care. The real picture is worse there,” the military expert said.

The Russians have one way out - to run away

Now the Armed Forces of Ukraine are moving along the flanks of the entire Soledar-Bakhmut group of forces. From Belohorivka there is a direction to Lysychansk and a direction to Popasna. Now Ukrainian troops are advancing not only for encirclement of Bakhmut, but just from Bakhmut - towards Horlivka, Kurdyumivka, along the water conduit.

Such movements along the heights can finally tighten assault near Popasna. They can cut off the entire Soledar-Bakhmut ledge.

“Again, Prigozhin dragged them there. He trampled along Soledar, along Bakhmut, abandoned everything and ran away. Now the Russians will have to leave. And the faster they do it, by the way, the more survives,” Svitan emphasized.

According to him, the only way for the occupiers is to retreat beyond Popasna. There, because of the elevation, at least somehow you can keep the defence.

“This summer, the Russians are waiting not only for the exit from Bakhmut, but also for the exit from Soledar, and, I think, the exit to Popasnaya for all this Soledar-Bakhmut group of forces,” summed up Roman Svitan.
