Aliaksandr Lukashenka will not fly to Turkey for the inauguration of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The Republic of Belarus will be represented by the chairman of the “house of representatives” Uladzimir Andreichanka. The inauguration is scheduled for June 3.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus reported that the invitation was received on June 1. Why Lukashenka won't go, they didn't explain.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan is 69 years old. In 2003-2014 he was the Prime Minister of Turkey. Since 2014 he has been a President. He recently won the presidential election in the second round (gained 52%).
Congratulating Erdogan on his victory in the elections, Aliaksandr Lukashenka noted that he “counts on a quick meeting with the President of Turkey.” However, it has been delayed.
