Mi-24 Military Helicopter Crashed Near Baranavichy

A Russian one most likely.

The Mi-24 helicopter “landed hard” in the Baranavichy district of the Brest region, the Ministry of Defense reports.

“Today, at about 13:30, a Mi-24 helicopter landed hard in the Baranavichy district. The crew of the helicopter were injured, and there are no destructions and victims on the ground,” the MoD report reads.

A special commission is investigating the incident.

At the same time, Belarusian telegram channels report that a helicopter of the Russian Aerospace Forces crashed near Ivatsevichy in the Brest region.

“This morning, a Mi-24 helicopter of the Russian Space Forces crashed near Ivatsevichy in the Brest region. According to eyewitnesses, the helicopter crashed near the M1 highway. Rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations are working at the scene.

The causes and circumstances of the crash are still unknown. No casualties in the accident were reported,” telegram channels say.
