Saakashvili: Putin Is Preparing To Press Nuclear Button

Ex-president of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili writes about this in a column for the UP. According to him, U.S. President Joe Biden recently made an extremely serious statement regarding the likely use of nuclear weapons.

“I believe that everything Putin has been doing in recent months is preparation for pressing the red button. Despite the skepticism of some about the Ukrainian offensive, Moscow knows for sure that with the current capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they will definitely not be able to hold the 100-kilometer width of the Azov corridor, and sooner or later their defense will be interrupted,” Saakashvili notes.

He believes that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will destroy the Crimean bridge and will stand at the entrance to the peninsula. The Russian army will be doomed, and the collapse of the regime will begin in the Kremlin.

“And in order to prevent this, Putin plans to strike with tactical nuclear weapons at the center of decision-making, that is, at the center of Kyiv. Most likely, some kind of provocation will be played out in Belarus before that to portray that it was Minsk that prompted Moscow to act in order to protect its ally,” Saakashvili predicts.

The ex-president of Georgia does not rule out that Putin may order a strike with tactical nuclear weapons on the largest logistics center in Polish Rzeszów.

“I suppose that if we are talking about 2-3 nuclear missiles, then NATO will limit itself to a conventional response,” he added.
