Political Prisoner Uladzimir Hundar Thrown Into Punishment Cell

In the coming months, a trial will be held to change the regime of detention.

On June 6, the Hrodna Regional Court upheld the sentence of Uladzimir Hundar, a political prisoner in the “Autukhovich case”. The sentence thus remains unchanged — 20 years in prison. The very next day, he was immediately transferred from the punishment cell to the colony. At the same time, Hundar's wife was allowed to meet with him, but she did not have time to get to him because of the imminent transportation, Viasna writes.

Hundar's daughter wrote on Facebook that on June 9, Uladzimir was placed in a punishment cell for 7 days. He believes that in the near future he will again be thrown into a punishment cell several times, after which a trial will be held to replace the regime with a prison one. In his opinion, it will take about 3 months, but he asks not to worry about him.
