“Purges” continue in the Russian Ministry of Defense. Another top officer was removed from his post.
The VCHK-OGPU informs, citing a source, that Sergei Shoigu continues purges inside the Ministry of Defense. Hero of Russia, Major General Vladimir Seliverstov was removed from the post of commander of the Tula 106th Airborne Division.
It is noted that this division since January of this year participated in the battles on the Bakhmut frontline. Aleksey Dyumin, the governor of the Tula region, stood up for Seliverstov, but he still failed to keep the position.
After the unsuccessful rebellion of the Wagner PMC, all the top officers of the Russian Federation felt its consequences. During Prigozhin's rebellion, General Sergei Surovikin may have known about Prigozhin's plans. There really is no communication with the Russian general Sergei Surovikin. He may be in jail.
At the same time, top intelligence officers are being fired in the Russian Federation due to the rebellion of the Wagner PMC against the Ministry of Defense. The resignation of the Deputy Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU), Lieutenant General Alekseev, is expected. In addition, personnel purges will be carried out among his subordinates.
Russian General Sergei Surovikin is still in isolation after the Wagner mutiny. However, the “war” in the RF Ministry of Defense continues. Recently, General Ivan Popov was removed from his post.
