Chinese Company Huawei Helps Belarusbank To Bypass US Sanctions

There are grounds for secondary sanctions imposition.

Belarusbank, as Charter97.org has learned, has held a tender for the purchase of a data storage system (DSS) Huawei Ocean Store Dorado All Flash, which can significantly speed up financial transactions.

The Softline company won the tender.

The Chinese company Huawei uses the Intel and Broadcom element base for their DSS production. These are US components and are prohibited from being imported to countries subject to the embargo, including Belarus.

Recall that on February 24, 2022, the day the war in Ukraine began, the United States, the European Union and the United Kingdom restricted the supply of high-tech products to Russia. Export restrictions were later extended to Belarus.

It is worth noting that Intel almost immediately announced that it would adhere to the sanctions and stop deliveries to our country.
