Lukashenka Appoints First Deputy Chief Of Belarus General Staff

Major General Andrei Matsievich was appointed to a new position.
Aliaksandr Lukashenka has replaced the First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Belarusian Armed Forces, BelTA informs.
As explained in the press service of the dictator, Major General Andrei Matsievich was appointed to the new position. The corresponding decree (#212) was signed by Lukashenka on Tuesday, July 18.
At the same time, by the same decree, Lukashenka dismissed Matsievich from the post of head of the territorial defense department — deputy chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
