Gaps in the Russian defense may appear on the Zaporizhzhia front.

After the drone attack by Ukrainian troops on Russian motorboats near the Antonovsky Bridge, the Russian Federation faced a dilemma - whether or not to reinforce its troop grouping in the area.

This is reported by the British Ministry of Defense on Twitter.

For example, British intelligence reports that the fighting in the lower reaches of the Dnipro River has probably intensified since the beginning of July. In addition to fierce fighting on the eastern bank around a small Ukrainian bridgehead near the destroyed Antonovsky Bridge, small units of Russian and Ukrainian troops are also fighting over islands in the Dnipro delta.

In particular, according to British intelligence, both sides are using small, fast motorized boats, and Ukraine has successfully used tactical unilateral attack drones to destroy several Russian boats.

"Russia faces the dilemma of whether to respond to these threats by reinforcing the Dnipro group of troops at the expense of overstretched units facing a Ukrainian counteroffensive in the Zaporizhzhia region," the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

Situation in the Kherson region

The occupants continue to return to their positions after the large-scale flooding of the Kherson region caused by the Russians' undermining of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station. At the same time, the enemy continues to shell populated areas of the Kherson region, including the liberated ones, in particular Kherson, which was attacked by the Shaheds during a massive attack on Ukraine on the night of Wednesday, July 19.

Earlier, the spokesperson of the OC South Natalia Gumenyuk said that on July 4, the AFU worked well on the boats of the residents, depriving them of the ability to move on the water.
