Poland Strengthening Forces On Border With Belarus

Another 500 police officers will join the border guards and the troops.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland sends 500 more police officers to the border with Belarus. Mariusz Kaminski, the Minister of the Interior and Administration of Poland, said.

“Due to the tense situation on the border with Belarus, I have decided to reinforce our forces with a group of 500 Polish police officers from the anti-riot and counter-terrorism units,” he wrote on Twitter.

According to him, the police will join the 5,000 border guards and 2,000 army troops who are now on the border.
