Ukrainian Army Forced Russians To Flee From Andriivka

The Armed Forces of Ukraine also achieved success in one of the key areas of the southern front.

The Eastern directions are among the hottest along the entire line of operations. In particular, fierce battles have continued recently near Andriivka in the Bakhmut direction. However, the Ukrainian forces have already succeeded in driving the occupiers out of their positions on this sector of the front.

Representative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Kovalev spoke on the air of the national telethon about the successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Andriivka area in the Bakhmut direction, Channel 24 reports.

Advance near Bakhmut

According to the speaker, Ukrainian troops are conducting offensive operations north and south of the city of Bakhmut and forcing the enemy to flee from positions near Andriivka.

“During the conduct of offensive and assault operations by the Defense Forces, the enemy was forced to withdraw from positions in the Andriivka area,” Kovalev stated.

Success in one of the key areas of the southern front

In addition, Andriy Kovalev noted that the Ukrainian military had success in the Staromayorsky district of the Donetsk region. At present, the defence forces are being consolidated at the achieved lines.

“In the direction of Staromayorske, they were successful. They are fixed on the achieved boundaries. The enemy continues to put up strong resistance, moves its units, uses reserves," he said.
