People In Crimea Prepare For Gasoline Deficit

Drivers are urged to stock up on fuel.

Drivers of cars in the temporarily occupied Crimea are warned about a possible shortage of fuel. Motorists are already being asked to stock up on fuel.

Some regular customers of the TES gas station network in Simferopol and Alushta received SMS messages of this content, Radio Liberty reports. Reports said that a shortage is possible as early as this week (August 14-20).

At the same time, drivers are already having problems. So, it was no longer possible to fill up with A-95 gasoline at some gas stations, which is why drivers had to buy A-93 fuel. In addition, fuel prices are rising.

For example, at the Atan gas station in Kerch, the cost of A-95 gasoline exceeded 60 rubles (60.39 rubles), while the price of diesel fuel rose to 63.39 rubles. At the Vars gas station, the A-95 costs 58.7 rubles, diesel fuel — 58.7 rubles.

The constant rise in the price of fuel in the Crimea has persisted throughout the summer, despite the fact that the Russian “authorities” of the Crimea claimed that they were looking for ways to contain gasoline prices at Crimean gas stations. Thus, on August 10, Russia-controlled Crimean Deputy Prime Minister Yury Gotsanyuk claimed that the situation with fuel on the Crimean peninsula was “stable”. He also promised that “deliveries of fuels and lubricants, diesel, AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline” to the Crimea will be increased.
