Ice Arena Building In Ekaterinburg's Centre Catches Fire

Hundreds of people were evacuated.

The main construction site of the ice arena caught fire in the centre of Yekaterinburg on August 17.

This is reported by the local edition of E1.

It is reported that before the firefighters arrived, 200 people evacuated from the arena territory on their own. All workers were also asked to leave the facility.

RosSMI report that paint and foam products were burning on the roof of the ice arena under construction. The fire was assigned the second rank.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations notes that there was no information about casualties.
