Russian Troops Urgently Retreat 'Behind Pyramids' In Mariupol Direction

The occupiers were given an unexpected order.

Russian troops are probably setting up an additional line of defence in the temporarily occupied Mariupol district of Donetsk region, while retreating from the existing front line.

Advisor to the mayor of Mariupol Petro Andryushchenko reported about this on Telegram on August 17.

"A significant number of lorries with the [occupiers'] live force and their junk are returning to the Nikolske part of Mariupol district. They tell locals about the order to 'retreat behind the pyramids' (the defence line fortified with concrete anti-tank obstacles. - ed.). They started to entrench themselves actively around the forests ( Fedorivskyi and Nikolskyi)", - wrote the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol.

According to Andriushchenko's assessment, these actions of the Russians look like an urgent construction of another line of defence in the Nikolske direction (the Nikolske-Mangush line in Donetsk Region).
