How Many Dollar Millionaires Are There In Belarus?

In our country, there is a very large gap between the incomes of the rich and the poor.

The wealth of 37.7% of adult Belarusians is less than $10,000. This is evidenced by analysts of the Swiss bank UBS in the annual Global Wealth Report, writes Office Life.

More than 56% — from $10,000 to $100,000, 5.5% — from $100,000 to $1 million, and over 1 million — 0.1%. That is, it is assumed that approximately 7.3 thousand dollar millionaires live in the country.

According to UBS, the Gini coefficient for Belarus is 67.1%. This coefficient is used to determine the extent of the income gap between the rich and the poor. The closer its value is to 100%, the higher the level of social inequality. Therefore, this coefficient is more of an initial indicator, reflecting the level of social justice in its own way.
