BILD: Türkiye, Qatar Decide To Play Along With Russia In Grain War

A new deal could be signed this weekend.

The aggressor country of the Russian Federation, Türkiye and Qatar are preparing their own trilateral grain agreement, Bild reports, citing official correspondence between the Foreign Ministries of Moscow and Ankara and their embassies.

According to the contents of these letters, Türkiye will act as the organizer of these deliveries, and Qatar will act as a “sponsor of the deliveries”. Media writes that the new agreement is about the supply of “Russian grain” mainly to African countries.

The media emphasizes that Moscow warned Ankara in advance about withdrawing from the Black Sea Grain Initiative. But from this correspondence it is known that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan asks the Russian Federation to renew the previous grain agreement for grain supplies from Ukraine, and also offers to act “under the auspices of the UN”.

The publication adds that Türkiye is trying to link the export of grain from Ukraine and Russia and mutually provide them. At the same time, as Bild notes, while Ukraine simply wants to export its grain, the aggressor country wants to tell “its neighbor what to do and not to do” with the help of bombs.

According to Bild, a new agreement could be signed as early as this weekend in the Hungarian capital Budapest. Head of Tatarstan Ruslan Minnikhanov has already arrived there, and Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan plans to arrive soon.
