Moscow Factory That Produces And Repairs Equipment For The Russian Army On Fire

The fire started after a powerful explosion.

On the night of August 2 there was an explosion at the V.D. Kalmykov factory of counting and analysis machines on Nizhnyaya Krasnoselskaya Street in Moscow, dialog.ua reports.

Russian media say that a fire broke out after the "bavovna". The fireplace was allegedly in the basement. The smoke rose to the 6th floor, from where it escaped to the outside. 40 people were evacuated. No injuries were reported.

It is not yet known what exactly happened at the factory. Emergency services are on their way to the scene.

According to open sources, the company specialises in manufacturing equipment for spacecraft, and is also licensed to manufacture and repair military equipment for the Russian army.
