Lithuanian Foreign Minister: Various Surprises And Troubles Can Await You In Belarus
GABRIELUS LANDSBERGIS

Gabrielius Landsbergis addressed the citizens planning a trip to Belarus.

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis addressed Lithuanian citizens who plan to take the opportunity to visit Belarus without a visa, and commented on the violation of Polish airspace by Belarusian helicopters, writes Delfi.

Landsbergis, commenting on the violation of Polish airspace by Belarusian helicopters, noted that he was waiting for additional information.

“The likelihood of such incidents in a country that has accepted the military of a private army and supports Russia in military operations against Ukraine, of course, exists. They need to be monitored very seriously — both a diplomatic and political response is needed. I don’t think that in this case some kind of military response is needed from the countries, especially Lithuania, but increased attention and readiness to act if there is pressure from the other side is necessary,” the Lithuanian Foreign Minister said.

He emphasized that Belarus is a dangerous country.

“Those people who decide to take advantage of the invitation of Lukashenka, who calls himself President, to come to Belarus without a visa, are actually at risk. I would urge you to evaluate the actions or these incidents as a signal of danger, in no case go to Belarus, because various surprises and troubles can await there,” Landsbergis added.

Important to note, on August 1, Belarusian military helicopters were spotted in the sky over the Polish village of Białowieża in the Podlaskie Voivodeship near the Polish-Belarusian border. The Ministry of Defense of Poland announced the violation of the country's airspace by Belarusian military helicopters.
