The countries came to common terms.

The EU will completely close the borders with Belarus in the event of a critical incident, said Polish Interior Minister Mariusz Kamiński following a meeting with his colleagues from the Baltic countries, which took place today in Warsaw, writes RMF24.

“If a critical incident occurs on the border with Belarus, regardless of whether it happens in Poland, Lithuania or Latvia, we will take immediate response measures. All border crossings will be closed,” Minister Kamiński said.

Lithuanian Interior Minister Agnė Bilotaitė specified that the ministers also agreed on general terms for making such a decision, and gave the details.

“There are two of them: firstly, an armed incident or incidents near the border of one of the countries. It should pose a serious threat to the national security of the countries. The second term is an organized mass breakthrough of illegal immigrants,” Delfi quotes Minister Bilotaitė.

According to her, if one of these incidents happens, then there will be an operational exchange of information between the services, and then a decision [on closing the borders] will be made at the government level.

It is also reported that in a joint statement, the Ministers of Internal Affairs demanded that the Lukashenka regime "immediately withdraw the Wagner Group from the territory of Belarus and remove illegal migrants from the border zone."

Earlier, Lithuanian Interior Minister Agnė Bilotaitė said that her office would offer to close two more entry points on the border with Belarus. Precisely the Lavorishki point, the Belarusian Katlouka, and the Raigardas point, the Belarusian Pryvalka.
