Explosions and sounds of shooting were heard in the harbour area in Novorossiysk (Krasnodar Territory, Russian Federation) in the early morning of Friday, August 4, tentatively due to an attack by unknown marine drones.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing local Telegram channels.

The sounds of explosions were heard from the Black Sea, followed by shooting.

According to Russian publics, explosions on the water and shooting were heard in the area of Myskhako. It is also reported that the drone was attacked from a boat, after which a strong explosion followed.

Photos and video of what was happening were published online.

According to some blogs, explosions also occurred in the area of Yuzhnaya Ozereyevka, where the marine terminal of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium is located.

The Russian Defence Ministry said the AFU attacked the Novorossiysk naval base with two marine drones.

Russian state news agency RIA Novosti said Novorossiysk emergency services confirmed that explosions had been heard in the city.

A temporary ban on ship traffic was imposed Friday morning at the port of Novorossiysk, near which numerous local residents reported hearing gunfire and at least one explosion.

This was reported by the Russian news agency Interfax, citing the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC).

"Oil Beacon" Damaged

According to RosSMI, a hit was recorded in Novorossiysk at the so-called "oil beacon" - a special outrigger for receiving oil, which is located several kilometres from the shore.
