Andrei Sannikov Met With The President Of Switzerland

The main topics of conversation were sanctions and the situation around Belarusian political prisoners.

The leader of the European Belarus Civil Campaign Andrei Sannikov met with the President of Switzerland Alain Berset. The meeting was held at the international film festival in Locarno. “This Kind Of Hope”, a documentary about Belarus was shown there. The opposition politician is the main character of the movie.

“We discussed the situation in Belarus, the policy of European sanctions. I asked the president to pay special attention to the horrifying situation with the huge number of political prisoners whom Lukashenka is killing in prisons.

We also discussed the impact of Russia's military aggression against Ukraine on regional and international security,” Andrei Sannikov wrote on Facebook.
