The "independent Russian journalists" Astra still spreads the information. The Eastern Military District Press Service stated that the Gromkiy corvette was allegedly in training near the city.

At night, messages appeared on local public pages. The residents said they had heard explosions, after which they called the police, firefighters and the FSB.

Local politician Maksim Chikhunov said that the Russian Security Services were ordered to keep quiet about the "explosive events” and pointed to a strong unpleasant smell after the incident.

“FSB officers came and questioned us in the morning. The neighbour was told not to tell anyone about the incident. We tried to take pictures, but we had trees there and nothing was visible. Also, we woke up too late after the explosion. We felt a strong smell later. It was quite similar to burning plastic, and that’s all,” Chikhunov noted.

Another resident of Vladivostok noticed an unknown flying object in the Lugovoi district and it was visible for a long time.
