An FSO officer patrolled Putin's dacha between Foros and Simeiz in Crimea.
Vitaly Brizhaty, an employee of the Federal Protective Service of Russia (FSO), a cynologist instructor at the country house of the President of the Russian Federation near the village of Oliva in Crimea, received a residence permit in Ecuador and moved there with his family.
The command did not allow him to resign, and since foreign citizenship or permission to reside abroad is a legal obstacle to serving in the FSO, he decided to go this way. Bryzhaty spoke about this in an interview released today with the Russian TV Rain channel (Amsterdam, the Netherlands) on September 9, 2023.
Vitaly Brizhaty, a Ukrainian on his father’s side and a former resident of Kamchatka, condemns the Russian invasion of Ukraine and considers Crimea occupied. The reason for his dismissal from the FSO is his reluctance to go to the front and fight against the Ukrainians.
At Putin’s country house in Oliva (another name is Verkhniaia Mukhalatka), located between Foros and Simeiz, Brizhaty’s duties, according to him, was checking gifts that were brought there to Putin and his entourage with the help of service dogs there. Near the country house of the Russian president, the country houses of Medvedev and the head of the FSB Bortnikov are also located, so high-ranking officials of the aggressor country often on visit there.

Also, he was patrolling the territory of the country house with service dogs in order to detect explosives.
At the same time, FSO officers, as Brizhaty says, always lack accurate information about whether Putin is at the house or not. They may be deliberately misinformed for reasons of the dictator's personal safety.
“He [Putin - ed.] does not trust his own people. He trusts only those close to him,” said Vitaly Brizhaty. Saying “his own people” the former security officer means the Presidential Security Service (SBP).
At the same time, Brizhaty added, the country house is “running all the time”: there are fresh food deliveries, security and maintenance.
“In case someone comes,” said the former FSO officer.
