Law enforcers arrested a man who in 2020 allegedly “obstructed” the arrest of Stsiapan Latypau. Then this Minsk resident, together with his neighbours, came out to defend the DJs of Change mural. A video of him appeared on a Telegram channel close to the security services. Mediazona drew attention to this post.
The man said on camera that he was taking part in a rally at the Square of Changes when Stsiapan Latypau was arrested. The man added that he allegedly “obstructed” the arrest of Mr Latupau.
Other details about the detainee are unknown.
A resident of the Square of Changes Stsiapan Latypau was arrested on September 15, 2020, at the Square of Changes in Minsk. In August 2021, he was sentenced to 8.5 in a high-security prison and a fine of 300 base values [about EUR 4110 - Ed.]. This is exactly the punishment the prosecutor requested. Latypau was accused under three articles of the Criminal Code and did not admit his guilt.
