Drone Strikes Major Russian Military Facility In Tver Region

A factory producing unique products for the aerospace industry has been attacked.

A drone attacked the Redkinsky experimental plant in the Tver region on Wednesday 13 September. An explosion occurred. The factory produces unique products for the aerospace industry.

RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to its own intelligence sources.

In particular, the interlocutor in the GUR told about another recent attack on the facility engaged in the production of chemical products for the aerospace industry.

"Today there was also an attack on the Redkinsky experimental plant in the Tver region. Decyline, an aviation fuel, is produced there. It was a UAV attack," the source said.

Reaction in Russia

Meanwhile, the Russian Telegram channel says that "an empty tank was damaged" and that the windows of the nearest building to the plant were smashed. RosSMI also assures that there were no casualties.

According to the Russians, the drone attack took place at around 4am.

"An unknown UAV was neutralised over the territory of the plant. It landed on the territory of the warehouse leased by Spetsneft and exploded," the propagandists said.

Factory emergencies in Russia

Fires and drone attacks happen all the time in Russia, and in most cases factories involved in production for the Russian defence industry become the epicentre of emergencies.

In mid-August, for example, there was an explosion at the Zagorsk Optical and Mechanical Plant in Sergiev Posad, Moscow region, which is believed to have killed more than 10 people. And on 21 August, a major fire broke out at a paint and varnish warehouse in Noginsk, near Moscow.

The Russian capital is also under constant drone attack. At the same time, the Ukrainian intelligence service has already warned Moscow residents not to relax as the number of drone attacks will increase.
