Media: Large Landing Ship Minsk Completely Destroyed In Sevastopol

The ship was built in 1984.

The Russian Defence Ministry has confirmed that two Russian ships were damaged in the attack on the Sevastopol Naval Plant.

They are the diesel-electric submarine Rostov-on-Don and a large landing ship Minsk, according to the Crimean Wind telegram channel.

The B-237 Rostov-on-Don (first photo) is an advanced Kilo-class attack submarine of the Russian Navy. It costs 300 million dollars. It was launched in 2014. The Rostov-on-Don was used by the Russians to shell Ukraine.

As for the Minsk, it is a Polish ship built in 1984.

Interestingly, the so-called authorities of occupied Sevastopol urged residents not to post photos and videos of the attack on the city, and at the same time Sevastopol's 'governor' Razvozhayev filmed himself against the backdrop of the burning Minsk.

Crimean Wind also quotes a panicked message from one of the Z-telegram channels:

"Two ships are lost forever, there are many dead and the fire is on its own. What really happened that night in Sevastopol?

We have learned of the consequences of the enemy attack on Sevmorzavod in Sevastopol last night. Sources in the Black Sea Fleet, the General Staff and the Sevastopol Government told us the following:

First, unfortunately, 11 people were killed in the missile attack - factory workers and military personnel. According to the latest information, 31 people were wounded.

Secondly, the missiles completely destroyed two of our ships - the large landing ship Minsk and the submarine Rostov-on-Don. Both ships, which were being repaired here, cannot be restored. In addition, two other ships were damaged in Sevmorzavod, and it may be possible to restore them. The interlocutors refused to reveal the names of these ships "so that the enemy does not get valuable information about the result of its terrorist attack".

Thirdly, according to revised data, eight enemy missiles and two naval drones were fired at Sevastopol. The drones were destroyed and only two of the missiles were shot down, which is why the damage from the attack is so severe. The governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, has already called for the city's air defences to be strengthened.

Incidentally, we wrote a week ago that the shelling of Sevastopol would be stepped up, and the city's mayor knew about it. And he "does not understand how it was possible not to strengthen the city's defences despite all the warnings".

Fourthly, the night-time missile attack caused panic in Sevastopol. The police received information that saboteurs were operating in the city and sent several teams to look for them. One of them mistook an armed military patrol for saboteurs and opened fire on his own. Four people were killed in the exchange of fire - three military and one police officer.
