Massive Fire In St.Petersburg: Big Mall Burns To The Ground

According to the Russians, “this is what hell looks like.”

On the night of Saturday, September 16, a large fire occurred in St. Petersburg, Russia — a two-story building of a mall with a restaurant was burning there, telegraf.com.ua reports.

Russian media are sharing impressive photos and videos from the scene. Judging by them, the building almost burned to the ground. Russians complain on social media that “this is what hell looks like.”

The first reports of the fire appeared after midnight. According to the channels, a shopping center located at the intersection of Bucharest Street and Glory Avenue in the Kupchino district caught fire. There was a large restaurant, a pet store, a grocery store and several commercial outlets.

“The footage from the scene looks, without exaggeration, like hell; the room is almost completely burned out. A diabolical picture,” this is what eyewitnesses commented from the scene, writes Mash on the Moika.

And they don’t lie — the footage from the scene is truly impressive.

According to preliminary data, people were evacuated; nothing is known about the victims yet. The possible cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
