It Was Horde - It Is Still Horde

Not gold but just gilded.

Ramzan Kadyrov published a video of his son Adam beating a prisoner. Everyone is waiting for the reaction of the Russian leadership and law enforcement officers to such a blatant violation of law.

Actually, this act of violence happened at the behest of the Kremlin. Volgograd resident Nikita Zhuravel publicly burned the Koran in his city. This incident should have been investigated.

However, contrary to established practice, the criminal case and the accused himself were transferred to Chechnya. Considering how resonant this story was, such a decision could only be made at a very high level.

The Kremlin understood and welcomed the fact that hell would be given to Zhuravel in the Grozny pre-trial detention center. What came as a surprise to the Russian leadership, it seems, was that Ramzan Kadyrov decided to personally provide evidence of his son’s active participation in the crime.

However, there is a version that the video was inserted in agreement with the Russian authorities specifically to divert attention from some other events. It’s just not clear which ones.

In fact, the Kremlin faced an unpleasant choice. Adam Kadyrov committed a crime. According to the law, he must be held accountable. But this means condemning the lawlessness in Chechnya in general and the son of its leader in particular, which is unlikely to please Ramzan Kadyrov and other local authorities.

If the lawlessness in Chechnya is not condemned, then Russia appears before the world in the image of a barbaric state.

You can, of course, say: what a piece of news. Against the background of what the Russian Federation is doing in Ukraine, the episode in the Grozny pre-trial detention center looks like a ‘childish prank’.

That’s true, but the paradox is that it’s really easier for them to justify the war in the eyes of sympathizers than an act of violence against Nikita Zhuravel. This video really angered even some of those who support the invasion of Ukraine.

The video that has spread around the world has already left a bad taste in the minds of many, including Belarusians. After all, this is a very clear presentation of the morals that reign in the so-called Russian world.

Just recently, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov declared Russia the “civilization state.” Some Imperials went even further and proclaimed their country a “civilization of civilizations.”

Kadyrov’s video gives clear evidence that there is no trace of civilization in Russia. It was the Horde and it is still the Horde, although, not gold but just gilded.
