Russian Goes On Holiday To Sochi, Gets Shocked By Behaviour Of Locals, Tourists

The "adventure" began in the taxi.

Global sanctions, closed skies, rising prices and explosions in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian Crimea made Russian tourists remember about domestic resorts, but their holidays there unpleasantly surprised them. One of the tourists, a teacher from St. Petersburg, has complained that the popular city of Sochi has changed beyond recognition.

In particular, he was shocked by the behaviour of fellow citizens on holiday and city residents. The teacher blamed the low standard of living that results in their rudeness, aggressiveness and boorishness, writes obozrevatel.com with reference to RosSMI.

The tourist was "welcomed" already in the taxi, where he witnessed a quarrel between the driver and pedestrians. The taxi driver shouted at the people and told the passenger that he did not intend to wait for them to cross the road, although according to traffic rules he had to let them pass.

The Russian was unpleasantly surprised by the familiarity and rudeness of locals and tourists, who shout profanities at children and tell each other to go to hell in public places. According to the eyewitness, Russians address strangers with the words "skirt", "chappie" and "fellow".

"The city has changed for the worse, the prices are crazy. The locals have clearly become poorer, this makes them irritable, rude. I wouldn't go there. Never, no matter what the weather is. Although I really want to go to the sea, but definitely not there," said the holidaymaker.

By the way, this is not the first time Russians complain about holidays in Sochi. Recently, holidaymakers on the Black Sea coast said that some of their fellow citizens behave inadequately. They allow children to defecate in the sea, from which other children then drink the water.
