Drones Strike Russian Airbase In Engels

This is the only military airfield where Tu-160 strategic bombers are based.

As reported by Charter97.org, today the Russians reported an attack on the Engels military airfield in Saratov region.

Later details of the strike became known.

ASTRA reports that two UAVs struck the territory of the Russian military airfield in Engels.

"The consequences are not yet known," the Russian Telegram channel reported.

As of 2021, the Engels airbase is the only one in Russia where Tu-160 strategic bombers are based.

Since February 2022, the base has been used for large-scale airstrikes against Ukraine.

On December 26, 2022, three Russian servicemen were eliminated after a large-scale attack on the airfield.
