He "gladly surrendered" near Maryinka.
Mohamed Adila, a Somali citizen who fought against Ukrainian fighters in the ranks of the Russian army, has surrendered to the Ukrainian Defence Forces. He complained that the Russian invaders constantly mocked and humiliated him.
This was reported by volunteer and war correspondent Roman Bochkala on his Facebook page. According to him, the Somalian "happily became prisoner" near Maryinka in Donetsk region.

Adila said there were at least three other Indian nationals in the occupiers' 3rd separate motorised rifle brigade.
The foreign mercenaries had no previous experience of service in the security forces, but they performed combat missions together with the Russians.
At the same time, they have not taken Russian language courses and do not speak the language at all.

The Somali said that the mercenaries experienced systematic bullying and humiliation by the Russian invaders on the basis of ethnic and racial differences.
"As we can see, the enemy uses poorly trained and incoherent personnel. Mother-Russia have run out of bogatyrs. From DPRK - missiles, from Somali - pirates," Roman Bochkala wrote.
