On Monday, January 15, the commander of the Air Force of the AFU Mykola Oleshchuk hinted at the Russian planes destroyed over the Sea of Azov.
The commander wrote in telegram: "That's to you for Dnipro! Burn in hell, scum!".
He also added that "no details yet".
On January 14, the media reported that the Ukrainian military shot down a Russian A-50 aircraft over the Sea of Azov and hit an IL-22 air command post.
At around 21:00, the IL-22M11 air command post was on duty near Strelkove in Kherson region, where it was hit. After the hit, the aircraft planned to land in Anapa, called for the evacuation and an ambulance and firefighters.
Subsequently, it became known that the Air Force shot down a Russian Aerospace Forces A-50 military aircraft on duty near Kirillivka, Zaporizhzhia region.
