The former head of Roscosmos called for reprisals.
Dmitry Rogozin, a member of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security and former head of Roscosmos, called the supply of military products to the front at inflated prices “criminal speculation.” The so-called senator from the Russian-annexed part of the Zaporizhzhia region of Ukraine believes that suppliers profiting from the war must be physically destroyed.
“The prices from resellers are surprising. They multiply the price of the product. It is enough to compare with what is indicated on AliExpress and finally understand that, as a rule, we are dealing with criminal speculators. I think that for providing the front with products that are three or four times more expensive (or even more) than what they cost for delivery, they should be shot dead,” Rogozin wrote on his VKontakte page.
In his post, the senator complained that there was a “carousel of enemy drones” all over the Zaporizhzhia front. “I think it’s the same on other fronts. There are countless enemy drones. When you drive into a front-line village, it’s as if you’ve walked into a hornet’s nest — everything is buzzing. At the entrance, enemy FPV drones are on duty in the air. In pairs. One immediately attacks, the other registers defeat and attacks those who rush to help the victim,” Rogozin clarified.
As a response, he proposed to provide participants in the invasion of Ukraine with FVP drone blockers and their own drones everywhere, “in all units and along the entire front”. To produce them in quantities that meet the new needs of the front, Rogozin believes, it is necessary to remove all bureaucratic restrictions, apply state support measures to manufacturers and introduce the highest penalty to resellers who sell military products at prices several times higher than the purchase price.
