Drones Massively Attack Voronezh: Strikes On 'Baltimore' Military Airfield

An emergency regime has been introduced in the Russian city.

On the night of Tuesday, January 16, people in the Russian city of Voronezh complained of an attack by unknown UAVs. A series of loud explosions were heard in the city and flashes were seen in the sky, Ukrainian media reported.

Russian media claimed "the work of air defence forces". Local public pages wrote that the explosions were heard in different districts of Voronezh, including outside the local "Baltimore" airfield.

In the network, Russians were actively publishing footage of the explosions in Voronezh - so far at least 15 explosions are known. In the clips you can hear the characteristic sounds of buzzing UAVs.

The windows were blown out in some houses by the blast wave.

It was also reported in social networks about the fly-in at 6a, Teplichnaya Street.

Later, the governor of Voronezh region Aleksandr Gusev wrote that the air defence forces on duty over Voronezh "repelled an attack by Ukrainian drones".

The Russian Defence Ministry subsequently said that "three Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed over the territory of Voronezh Region".

Voronezh mayor Vadim Kstenin said that the city had introduced an emergency regime. Residents of the damaged house were evacuated.
