Lithuanian Customs Officers Had To Cut Car Of Belarusian Native

There were illegal cigarettes.

The Belarusian hid the cigarettes in his car so thoroughly that Lithuanian customs officers had to cut the body of the car, according to Lithuanian customs.

A citizen of Belarus entered Lithuania through the Raigardas border crossing. He stated that he does not carry prohibited goods with him. Customs officers checked his Mazda. The Belarusian was travelling by it and found caches filled with cigarettes inside.

To get to the cigarettes, the customs officers had to cut the wings and thresholds of the car. As a result, 453 packs of cigarettes with Belarusian excise stamps were arrested.

The driver became a subject for prosecution. He faces a fine. Cigarettes and a car are arrested.
