Three Planes Of Russian Airlines Suffered Engine Failure During Flights

Today, an Airbus A-320, which took off from Omsk, landed in Domodedovo with a faulty engine.

The third aircraft of the S7 company has suffered an engine failure during its flight in the last three days. Today, an Airbus A-320 aircraft departing from Omsk landed in Domodedovo with a faulty engine. More than 170 people were on board. The aircraft is suspended from further flights, according to The Moscow Times .

On January 27, two more S7’s planes could not take off due to engine malfunctions. 160 people were supposed to fly from Ulan-Ude to Moscow, but the Boeing 737-800 never got off the ground: the pilots were forced to interrupt the takeoff due to the surge of the left and right engines. Such a malfunction can lead to the destruction of the aircraft in flight.

For the same reason, the S7 flight from Moscow to Turkish Antalya did not take place. On the morning of January 27, the Boeing 737-800 interrupted takeoff at Domodedovo Airport due to the surge of one of the engines.

Earlier, S7 Airlines had problems with aircraft maintenance, primarily with the repair of American P&W engines for the Airbus A320 / A321neo, Russian and Iranian companies couldn't maintain it.

Russian airlines have broken down at least 14 times since the beginning of the year. In at least a third of the cases, the perpetrators of the incident were the aircraft engine.

Another incident occurred today during a flight with a Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft, which was flying from Harbin, China. He made an emergency landing at the airport of Yakutsk after the fire sensor in the luggage compartment was triggered.

Only one of these incidents did not occur during the flight with passengers. A private flight from India to Moscow ended in a catastrophe in Afghanistan, during which two passengers died. The preliminary cause of the fall is the failure of two engines on the French Falcon aircraft.
