Lukashenka Following In Khrushchev's Footsteps

The dictator has tackled the corn.

Lukashenka said about lagging behind the West. Belarusian corn is inferior to Western varieties and hybrids. According to his press service, he went to see the results of the experiment in JSC ‘Aleksandryjskaye’, where six varieties of Belarusian and foreign selection were sown each.

‘If you are 20 per cent behind [in yield], it's a lot. We need high-yielding good varieties,’ the dictator said.

He once again demanded results from scientists and promised to deal with them in the near future based on the results of the commission that evaluates the Academy of Sciences.

Perhaps Lukashenka has decided to repeat the famous ‘corn campaign,’ launched by Soviet ruler Nikita Khrushchev.
