MAZ Being Kicked Out Of Russian Market

41.2% fewer new trucks were sold than a year earlier.

In September, 336 new trucks from the Minsk Automobile Plant were sold on the Russian market — 41.2% less than in the same month of 2023 (572), according to a study by ASM Holding (RF), writes Pozirk.

Over nine months, the Belarusian enterprise sold 4,095 units of this equipment (for the corresponding period last year — 4,692; -12.7%).

Last month, the products of the Minsk Automobile Plant took 10th place (in August — 8th) in the list of the best-selling brands in this segment of the Russian car market, experts stated. The market share was 3.9% (4.2%).

Top five sales leaders: SITRAK (1,650; -25.5% compared to sales in August 2023), KAMAZ (1,689; -43.3%), Shaanxi (1,474; -32%), Dongfeng (1,279; 2.3-fold increase), FAW (854; -59.9%).

In 2023, MAZ sold 6,406 new trucks — 45.9% more than in 2022 (4,391).
