Peskov Refuses To Comment On Kadyrov's Statements About 'Blood Feud'

Vladimir Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin does not comment on the threats of blood feud made by the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov against senator and billionaire Suleiman Kerimov and deputies Bekkhan Barakhoyev and Rizvan Kurbanov, Interfax reports.

Journalists at a briefing asked Peskov to comment on "the situation when the head of one of the Russian regions threatened blood feud against a senator and two deputies."

"We do not comment on this situation. If there are any threats, then any citizen contacts law enforcement agencies, which, in accordance with the law, take the necessary measures. There can be no other comments here," Peskov replied.

In turn, State Duma deputy from Ingushetia Bekkhan Barakhoyev said that he had nothing to do with the preparation of the assassination attempt on the head of Chechnya, which Kadyrov had previously announced. Barakhoev said this at a public meeting in the Ingush city of Malgobek, Fortanga reports.

"Allah Almighty is my witness. I have nothing to do with this and never have," the publication quotes the deputy.
