GRU Special Forces Colonel Liquidated Near Moscow: Unexpected Details

The high-ranking officer regularly travelled to the territory of Ukraine.

The influential Russian telegram channel VCheK-OGPU became aware of new details of the murder of a colonel of the Russian Armed Forces in the Solnechnogorsk district of the Moscow region.

The murdered 44-year-old Nikita Klenkov was born in Germany and was a hereditary military man.

His father, a native of Port Arthur, is registered in the same military town near Solnechnogorsk as his son.

Officially, Klenkov Sr. was listed as a serviceman in the Vystrel Command Training Center (based in Solnechnogorsk district, now liquidated).

Nikita himself, before becoming the Deputy Commander of the Special Operations Forces Training Center of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, was listed in the military base 11135. These are the 18th Central Research Institute of the General Staff, where they are engaged in the development of radio intelligence, long-range and satellite communications and coding systems.

Members of his family were registered at the address of the unit in Moscow. From here, Nikita Klenkov got into the special forces of the GRU (Russian Defence Intelligence) and at the same time was engaged in the training of the Special Operations Forces.

The high-ranking officer took part in various "business trips", including on the territory of Ukraine.

According to the source of the VCheK-OGPU, the initial version that the killer pursued Nikita Klenkov by car failed.

The operatives still managed to disclose the Mitsubishi Outlander model, which was pointed out by eyewitnesses, and identify the driver.

The man was interrogated, but the driver remained in the status of a witness, and, apparently, he was just passing by.

The operatives do not have any other clues yet, only guesses that a real specialist worked, who was on foot and left after shooting the victim, into the forest.

According to the interlocutor, this is the best way to go unnoticed, since it is quite easy to get out of the forest belt and not get into the lenses of surveillance cameras.
