Truck Burnt Down Near Lithuanian Border

The truck could not be saved.

On Thursday, October 16, a truck burned near the border with Lithuania, reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The rescue team was called to the agricultural town of Kamenny Loh early in the morning. A truck with a semi-trailer was burning there.

‘When EMERCOM workers arrived at the scene of the fire, the vehicle was completely engulfed in flame. The rescuers extinguished the fire, but it was not possible to save the lorry, the fire completely destroyed it,' said the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The probable cause of the fire was a short circuit of the electrical wiring in the engine compartment of the vehicle.
